HAIR CARE
1. what is virgin hair?
2.How much hair do I need?
For a full sew-in, we recommend that you purchase at least 2 bundles of hair for lengths between 14 inches and 18 inches. We also recommend that if you have lengths 20 inches or longer, you will need at least 3 bundles of hair. Keep in mind that since our extensions are sold by weight, remember the saying "the longer the length, the shorter the weft".
3. How long does the hair last?
With proper care, our extensions can last a year or longer. Remember that virgin hair is 100% human hair and it must be treated as such with proper hair care to remain in good condition.
4. Can I color the hair?
Yes, you are able to color your extensions. We suggest allowing a licensed professional color your extensions. Our hair is 100% virgin hair and has not been processed at all. Remember, once you process your extensions they are no longer considered virgin. Be sure to keep your extensions conditioned and moisturized.
5. How long is shipping?
All orders can take up to 1 to 3 business days for processing. Shipping via USPS priority mail is usually 1 to 3 business days. All of our customers will receive an email tracking updates once the order has been shipped.
General Hair care tips:
- Shampoo your extensions at least once a week with a sulfate free shampoo and moisturizing conditioner to maintain texture. DO NOT Massage your extensions or rub vigorously
- When shampooing your hair, rinse with warm water
- Apply conditioner to hair and comb through with a wide tooth comb. Start from the ends, working your way up to the scalp.
- Rinse conditioner out with cool water
- Avoid rubbing hair vigorously with a towel
- Let your hair air dry
- Use minimal styling products to avoid build up on extensions
- Avoid using any products with alcohol in it to avoid drying out your extensions.
- For bed, use a silk bonnet, scarf and pillowcase
- To keep shedding at the minimum, seal your wefts every time reusing your hair extensions, and do not split the weft. Also try to avoid sewing through your wefts.
Remember, virgin hair is 100% human hair that must be treated as such, with proper haircare to remain in good condition. Once the hair is detached from the donor scalp it loses its source of nutrients. Be careful not to apply heat very often because it will dry out the hair. When applying heat, be sure to use some form of moisturizer or alcohol free hair care product. Excessive heat takes away from the Lester and silkiness of the hair over time.
